Artist Bio

Welcome to the vibrant tapestry of my life, where every stroke and melody tells a tale of joyous discovery! 

I was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan. After earning my bachelor's degree, I came to the United States to pursue my master's degree. Over the years, I built my career in the technology industry and eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, a place I now proudly call home.

Unlike many artists, I didn't discover painting until my 30s. Growing up, music was my creative outlet. I spent countless hours playing the clarinet, practicing piano, and performing in symphony bands. It wasn't until I picked up a paintbrush later in life that I realized visual art could express emotions and memories in a completely different way. Since then, painting has become an important part of who I am.

I primarily work in oil, drawn to its richness, texture, and ability to capture light. Nature is my greatest inspiration—wildflowers, birds, butterflies, and landscapes often find their way into my paintings. I also love creating scenes inspired by my travels, especially through Europe and America's National Parks.

One of my favorite things to do is travel across Europe, spending hours in museums studying the masterpieces of the great painters. Seeing their work in person reminds me that every artist has a unique voice and that art has the power to connect people across cultures and generations. Those experiences continue to shape my own artistic journey.

When I'm not working in the tech industry, you'll usually find me in my studio with a paintbrush in hand, planning my next adventure, exploring nature, or enjoying a good book. I hope my paintings encourage others to slow down, appreciate the beauty that surrounds us, and discover a little joy in everyday life.
